Ayoub Lyaacoubi (b.2000) also known as Acoby. Lives and works in Casablanca, Morocco.

After studying at the National Institute of Fine Arts in Tetouan for 2 years, He departed in 2022 to commence his career as a visual artist Engaging with the art collective "GOMA". His artistic practice is multidisciplinary and includes drawing, sculpture, installation and digital illustration. Based on a visual and personal perspective, the works focus on illustrating some certain properties of plants that might also define people, exploring areas where humans and nature intersect. For Acoby, The things plants and humans have in common can often be literal and part of what makes both of them living beings but sometimes these shared connections can be poetic and surreal and you can see that in the mixture of elements, shapes and colors that he decides to use in his compositions.

His work is a reflection on how humans are an integral part of earth, rooted in it, rather than merely exploiting it’s resources.
